A Very Royal Wedding.

Booooo I can't believe the Royal Wedding is over. I thought the service was so beautiful and traditional, plus Prince Harry was looking fiiiiiiine. Also did anyone else find themselves wishing he and Pippa were a couple? maybe? maybe?
My neighbours celebrated in true English fashion - having an all out street party. This was before people arrived while we were getting it all set up. Supposedly over 200 people turned up in the end. sheesh.
You cant have a English party without Pimms. - Fact.

Om nom nom nom

Cake! Again, om nom nom

MILO! Ma baby! My mum thought it would be cute to put a red bandanna around him. It was. Also he is the biggest attention whore, and loved being out where everyone could spoil him. What a slut.

I took pictures once people arrived, but I don't feel right posting them online as I don't have people's permission (also lots of children around). So here you go. How did you celebrate the wedding?

A Little Bit of Lace.

I was in a TK Maxx the other day, looking for a cheap shirt I could cut up/craft with, when I spotted this lace dress. It was so summery and unbelievably cheap I had to buy it! I don't normally go to TK Maxx, but I think I'm going to have to head back and try to find more bargains. Yeahhhhhhh!

Feather Hair Extensions.

My feather hair extensions came the other day, so I thought I would do a little post about them! I did some research before getting them, and although you can go get them done at a salon a) I couldn't find a place and b) They seemed very easy to put in yourself, so I decided to just order some and go for it!

This photo is everything I received in my order (I got mine from Ahead of Hair, as it was UK based so no expensive shipping!) A pair of pliers, a 'micro loop threader', the micro loop beads which actually fasten the extension in and the feathers themselves. I don't want to go into too much detail about how to put the extensions in, as there is already a lot of info online/youtube showing you how.

The only downside is they really don't suit my crazy-curly hair. So it looks like I will be having to wear mine wavy or straight for a while. (Hence the giant rollers).

They were so simple to put in, it only took about 5 mins. The site says they can be left in hair while washing, and that they can be straightened, dried and curled. Sweeeeet.

I choose a really natural colour to start with, and I have to say I absolutely love them. My hair is longer then they are, but they fit in nicely with my layers and look quite subtle. At only £6 per extension I definitely think I am going to order more - they are so easy and fun for the summer. GO GET SOME!

Prom Queen.

We don't get a prom here in the UK, but if we did and it had looked anything like this Planet Blue shoot/collection I would have been a very happy bunny. I'm kind of in love with these photos.

Grass and Green Things.

I have been sick recently, so this is the first time in several days where I have actually left the house! Nothing special really, just felt like an outfit post was long over-due! Jeans and a massive cardigan. Pretty boring standard.

Plaits, plaits, lots of little plaits. And a cross necklace. Don't fret, you can't see down my top - I'm wearing a vest ;)

My favourite shoes - they are not luminous or shiny as the photo is making them out to be.

Rings! All are from markets, except one which I got at Accessorize.

Meet my baby, Milo. He is not very good with the camera. I had to bribe him with treats.

What have you guys been up too? I'm back in bed trying to get better...zZZzzzzzzz....

England.

Im back! From a glorious week in the country side. As much as I moan about England, a true english summer is hard to beat - I love the light, and just how wonderfully green it can be. We were lucky to have incredible weather while we were away, and spent as much time as we could outdoors enjoying it!

I didn't get many photos (partly because we were so busy!) so these are some my friend Helen snapped. She is an amazing photographer - these don't even begin to show her talent!

So what have you lot been up to this last week? Lets hope the sunshine stays!

Australia.

It is a dream of mine to visit Australia, and when I saw the awesome Oracle Fox's photos, I just had to re-blog them to you guys! Her blog is amazing, and her snaps always make me want to head somewhere where the beach, sun and nature are. I could seriously do with never taking an underground EVER again haha.

I may be ridiculously pale city girl, who has never touched a surf board in her life, but I like to think I'm a beach-bum hippy at heart :)

...Well a girl can dream, right?
